Wiring S Play Shield Board - DESCRIPTION

This is a Wiring S Play Shield accessory board. You can pair it with a Wiring S board and use Arduino shields. Also, you can, optionally, populate the through hole components for additional fun with the Wiring S board. There are sockets and traces for pushbutton switches, LEDs, a 24xxxx I2C EEPROM, and a DS13x7 RTC and backup battery.

FEATURES

• On board traces and pads for:
  • 4 pushbutton switches w/pullups
  • 6 LEDs w/series resistors
  • 1 24xxxx I2C EEPROM
  • 1 DS13x7 RTC w/backup battery
• pads for Arduino shield board attachment
• There are several connector configurations available
  • Basic Headers - includes 5 1x8 pin standard male headers. They can be inserted from the bottom and soldered from the top into the five Wiring positions, or using only four of the 1x8, trim two of them to 1x6 and insert and solder into Arduino positions.
  • Stackable Wiring Headers only - includes 5 1x8 stackable connectors, inserted from top and soldered on the bottom
  • Stackable Wiring Headers with Arduino Socket headers - same as above, additionally includes Arduino socket headers, 2 1x8 and 2 1x6. Inserted from top and soldered on bottom
