PH Anderson LCD chips are Microchip PIC 16F648A and have no markings. So to ease the issue, I mark them using "White-Out" (ignore perfect round white dots they are reflections).

  • LCD117/2400 (new version) - two white marks on end opposite the notch
  • LCD118/2400 (old version) - one white mark on end opposite the notch
  • LCD117/9600 - no marks
  • LCD117/19200 - on white mark on the notch end

K107RA - FFC/FPC Ribbon Adapter

This board will provide an adaptation for displays making use of 14/16 conductor "Flat Flex" (FFC/FPC) cables. It maybe be plugged into the 1x16 socket header on the K107 (or any other board for that matter, even a breadboard) or soldered directly to the row of 16 holes without the socket header.

Kit consists of the K107RA board, a 1x16 pin header and a 14 or 16 contact FFC/FPC through hole socket that has to be soldered surface style to the edges of both sides of the pcb. Assembly time less than 5 minutes.

Pictures above show the 14 pin connector using the pins 1 through 14 (the first 7 pads on the top and the bottom of the PCB. The 16 pin connector use all 8 on the top and the bottom.) Remember, the square pad of the .100" header row is Pin 1.
